"Sheffield
Wednesday are proud to be one of the founder clubs for Playing for Success.
Sheffield Wednesday has a significant role to play in the local community and Playing For
Success and other education programmes allow the game of football, and more
specifically SWFC, to be used as a vehicle to provide students with the extra
motivation and support to achieve their potential".
Marcus Brameld (SWFC
Football in the community)
“What we offer headteachers and schools is a programme that can be tweaked to support the school’s developmental aims. Although the children’s attendance at the programme is voluntary we see high levels of engagement and enjoyment. Staff deliver an excellently constructed programme of fun learning activities.
By working in
close partnership with the schools we consolidate the many positives that come
out of attending this Study Support initiative.”
Rob Walker, (Playing for Success Co-ordinator)
